Meet the Team

Ruth and Matthew have been married for 15 years and met whilst working together in an art materials shop. After living and working in London for 10 years they made the decision to move ‘back home’ and ‘follow their dreams’ by setting up their own business. Emulsional Support combines their best talents and best loves - paint, colour and design.

Matthew has been drawing since he was a small child and is still an avid drawer. After completing a BA in Fine Art he has continued to paint and draw as his side hustle.
His love of painting extends to his everyday work, painting and decorating. He’s all about the finish, the texture and the quality of the paint and is super nerdy about application!

After 6 years working in corporate design and marketing roles for Tesco, Ruth wanted to get back to hands on designing.
She loves to get into the nitty gritty of the design brief - how is the space used and by who, what do they like and how do they want to feel? Its all inspired by people and place, with the aim of making spaces that you have experiences in rather than grab you by specific trends or styles.
